The Benefits Of Creating Simplicity In Your Life

Nowadays it seems as if people are always going somewhere and doing something. You get up in the morning, hurry off to work, hurry home, make dinner, clean your house and go to bed. If you are a stay at home mom your day is just as hectic, running car pools, and keeping up with household tasks. If this is all beginning to make you feel overwhelmed, it might be time to simplify things. This can be a challenge to accomplish, but you will find that over time your quality of life will improve. The first thing you can do is cut back on electronics use and when you do use it, do so consciously. You do not have to throw anything away, but cut down to the ones you enjoy most and make sure they are good repair. Fix your shattered iPhone Glass and your broken iPod Touch Parts so you can enjoy these during the week. The important thing is to not just let these things run for no reason, but to truly enjoy them when you use them.

If you want to cut down on the time you spend running to the grocery store, consider planting your own garden. Gardening will take time, but you will reap what you sow. Your hard work will pay off and you will be able to prepare healthy meals for your family right from your own yard.

Another way to really streamline things and remove the chaos from your life is to cut out that long commute to work. You can do this by looking for work closer to home or you can make the decision to actually work inside of your home. The commute is often the most stressful part of the day because you are hurried to get where you are going, you are affected by other drivers and you are enclosed in a cramped car rushing in one direction or another. If you trim that commute, your entire life will feel better.

One of the best ways to make things simple is to learn how to say no. Some people find themselves involved in everything and it can wear you out. This is a surefire way to burn out and if you want peace and time to yourself, you are going to have to let go of these responsibilities. Pare down your social schedule and things will seem simpler.

Finally, allow a day each week that is just for downtime. If you have to work and you have kids, you are going to have hectic weeks no matter how much you simplify. However, putting one day aside to focus on the relationships in your life will help you feel better about everything.
